Magic vs. Celtics: Boston brings a four-game win streak, November 1, 2026
Tonight
The Orlando Magic host the Boston Celtics this afternoon, Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Kia Center in downtown Orlando. Tip-off is 3:30 pm ET. It is the first day of standard time, so if any clock in your house or car still runs an hour ahead, set it back before you head out. It is an early-season matinee between two Eastern Conference clubs whose last week and a half have gone in different directions.
Form
Each club has played five regular-season games, and they tell different stories.
Orlando is 2-3. The Magic opened that stretch with two home losses at Kia Center, 132-125 to the Atlanta Hawks on October 21, 2026, and 115-93 to the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 23. They answered on the road with a 111-102 win over the New York Knicks on October 25. Then came two games in Toronto: a 129-99 loss on October 28 and a 121-114 win on October 30, the most recent result on the board.
Boston is 4-1 and arrives on a four-game winning streak. The one loss was 121-113 at the Detroit Pistons on October 20, 2026. Since then the Celtics have beaten the New York Knicks 107-103, the Chicago Bulls 134-99, the Brooklyn Nets 125-124 and the Bulls again 125-111 on October 30, all four at home.
What to watch
A first regular-season home win. Orlando's two regular-season home games were both losses, by seven points and by 22. The Magic have looked sharper away from home lately, with road wins in New York and Toronto. Today is the chance to carry that into their own building.
Boston on the road again. The Celtics' four straight wins all came in Boston. Their last regular-season road game was the loss in Detroit on October 20, 2026. How they handle the change of scenery is a fair question.
Answering a bad night. Orlando has already shown it can respond: after the 115-93 home loss to Minnesota it won in New York, and after the 129-99 loss in Toronto it won the rematch two nights later. Boston, meanwhile, has scored 125 or more in three of its last four games, so the Magic's defense will be tested early.
Getting there
Kia Center sits on Church Street in downtown Orlando, near the I-4 corridor. Fans coming from out of town usually fly into Orlando International Airport, southeast of downtown. Rideshare drop-off and downtown garages are the common ways in on game day. For parking, entry times and the bag policy, check the arena's own site before you go, and give yourself extra time for a busy afternoon downtown.
