Mavericks at Celtics: travel guide for November 15, 2026

The game

The Dallas Mavericks visit the Boston Celtics on Sunday, November 15, 2026. Tip-off is 6:00 pm ET, Boston time, at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The arena sits directly on top of North Station, on the edge of the West End and a short walk from the North End.

Planning the trip

Two weeks out is a good time to settle flights and a place to stay, since a Sunday evening game in Boston draws weekend visitors. Most fans fly into Boston Logan International Airport, across the harbor in East Boston, a few miles from the arena. Fans coming by rail on Amtrak usually arrive at South Station, Boston's main intercity train station, about a mile and a half from the Garden. North Station, beneath the arena, serves commuter rail and the subway.

Visiting fans usually stay downtown and in the Financial District, about a mile from the arena, or in Back Bay and the Seaport, each a couple of miles away. Cambridge, across the Charles River, is another common base with a subway link into town. Boston is compact, so most of these areas are a short ride or a long walk from the Garden.

On game day

The simplest way in is the subway. North Station, on the MBTA Green and Orange lines, connects straight into the building, so you can step off the train and be at the arena doors in a few minutes. Rideshare drop-off works too, though the streets around North Station get crowded before tip-off and after the final buzzer. There are garages nearby, but downtown traffic is slow on game nights, so transit is usually the easier choice.

Plan to arrive early to clear security and find your seats without rushing. Check the arena's bag policy before you leave so nothing has to be turned away at the door. Door times, parking details, prices and ticket information are on TD Garden's own site.

Around the arena

TD Garden is in the West End, where several of Boston's older neighborhoods meet. The North End, the city's historic Italian neighborhood of narrow streets and small places to eat, is a few minutes' walk away. Government Center and the waterfront are close by, and the Charles River runs just behind the arena. The blocks around the building are lively on game nights and easy to explore on foot before or after the game.

Before you go

It is early in the season, and the Mavericks have played six regular-season games, going 4-2 per the league standings. They opened with a 128-110 loss at the Houston Rockets on October 21, 2026, then won 121-105 at the Indiana Pacers on October 23. A 122-106 home loss to the San Antonio Spurs followed on October 24.

Since then Dallas has won three straight: 113-109 at the Miami Heat on October 26, 120-96 at home over the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 28 and 116-111 at home over Houston on October 30, 2026. That run took the Mavericks from 1-2 to a winning record heading into November.
