The game

Planning the trip
With the game two weeks out, now is a good time to lock in flights and a room, since weekend dates fill first. Most fans fly into Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), a short drive west of downtown. The TRAX light rail Green Line connects the airport with downtown, and rideshare and taxis are easy to find at arrivals. If you are coming by rail, Salt Lake Central Station, on the west side of downtown, serves Amtrak and the FrontRunner commuter train and is roughly a mile from the arena.
Visiting fans usually stay downtown, where much of the hotel stock sits within a short walk of the Delta Center. The blocks around Temple Square, a few streets northeast of the arena, are another common base. Some travelers prefer the airport corridor west of downtown, a short drive or train ride from the game.
On game day
The simplest way in is TRAX. Arena station sits right beside the Delta Center, and several lines stop downtown. Rideshare drop-offs work well, though streets around the arena get busy before tip-off and after the final buzzer, so plan a pickup spot a block or two away. If you drive, there are lots and garages throughout downtown; the arena's own site lists parking options and current details.
Give yourself extra time to get through security and find your seats, especially if you want to see warmups. Around the arena
The Delta Center sits on the west side of downtown Salt Lake City, in a walkable grid of wide streets with plenty of places to eat and drink within a few blocks. Temple Square and the central business district are close by, and the mountains frame the view in almost every direction. In mid-November, dress for cool, possibly wintry weather.
Before you go
The Spurs arrive at 4-2 in the regular season, per the league standings, and on a four-game winning streak.
